Chaupain Bakery in San Clemente originally operated from a more compact footprint. After acquiring the vacant space next door, the demising wall was removed to unify a single unit transitioning into a brighter, more spacious café environment with significant operational space.

The interior renovation increased the seating capacity, improved queueing and circulation, reorganized service areas and introduced custom shelving to showcase artisan retail products. New signature display case and finishes add a contemporary, yet vintage inspired appeal, warmly balanced by natural light and accent light fixtures. The outdoor seating further extends into the sidewalk and streetscape connecting with the pedestrian character of the community, reminiscent of a traditional European boulangerie-pâtisserie.
